Product Manager, Microsoft 365
March 2020 - June 2021

Helped thousands of our largest customers, Microsoft Partners, save time every day by giving them the ability to administer all of their clients from a single pane of glass. The more clients they manage, the more time they’ll save.

  • Worked with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, content writers, researchers, data scientist, and product marketing managers to build the right thing, at the right time, for our customers
  • Ran monthly customer co-development sessions to rapidly test new features and gather feedback from existing customers, as well as A/B tests to learn and iterate
  • Despite showing positive gains towards our OKR of improving Net Promoter Score, I scarified my own feature's development for what turned out to be stronger OKR gains
    • While our features were showing positive A/B test results, I noticed that our team OKR was backsliding. After reading through thousands of pieces of user feedback and performing manual analyses, I realized that massive site-wide performance regressions were going unnoticed and tanking our Net Promoter Score. At the expense of my own features, I shifted our resourcing towards months of unrelated platform level performance improvement as this was the right thing to do for our customers, and our team OKR.

Product Manager, Core Services Engineering
August 2018 - March 2020

Simplified the lives of Microsoft engineers by making all deployments secure and compliant by default for 450 services across Microsoft by building Azure DevOps extensions for CI-CD pipelines to validate that deployments meet minimum requirements before they reach customers, replacing painful after-the-fact security and compliance reviews.

  • PM and backlog owner on an 8-person engineering team, where I took our team's vision from hypothesis to org-wide adoption
  • Honoured with our org's One Microsoft Award for contributions to inner-source development and cross-Microsoft collaboration with the Azure Production Infrastructure Engineering team to improve OneBranch's Compliant Save and Compliant Folder features for all customers across Microsoft
  • Demoed these high impact features to Microsoft EVP Kurt DelBene
Note: Within Microsoft, Product Managers hold the title Program Manager

Varsity Athlete

Men's Varsity Rugby Team, 1st XV

Played 4 seasons with the Western Mustangs Men's Rugby Team while balancing academics, internships, part-time jobs, clubs and my startup career. A typical season ran from late August to mid-November, with off-season training between January and March.

An average in-season week included 2 hour long practices 5 days a week, 1 hour long film sessions up to 2 times a week, and 2 to 3 mandatory work-outs, culminating in 1 game day per week. Off-season was less rigid, with 2 to 3 mandatory work-outs, and 2 light practices a week.
